Invitation to Te Pouhono 101 Te Reo Wananga
The first weekend of Te Reo wananga starts this weekend at Tangoio Marae. It starts on Friday 10 June at 6pm, and continues on Saturday 11 June and Sunday 12 June. There are 8 weekends in total (until 31 July), and a full course outline and timetable is available by clicking the link below.
There is no cost to attend, but please bring a plate of kai to share.
Please pass on this message to other whanau and encourage them to attend. This will be a fantastic course and a must for new students. Don’t be shy or scared, there will be a mix of abilities on the course – especially beginners. To attend:
1. You need to be 16 years old or older;
2. New students will need to bring suitable identification - Birth Certificate, Passport, overseas Passport, Marriage Certificate or a Whakapapa statement.
3. Only new students need to fill in the full enrolment form, unless you are one of the following: recently married, have a new address, or if you are not sure whether you need to fill in a form.
4. Please bring with you a notebook or exercise book, a pencil and rubber.
5. Please familarise, learn now, your - pepeha, also the meaning of your pepeha in English. Also a short karakia (open/closing).
